I bought this book for my wife and she really enjoyed it! So much so that she had me read it too, I must say it was a great read. I really look forward to the next book in this saga.

Heartwarming romance and family saga. February 24, 2015
Author Alisha Guenzel has written a wonderful, heartwarming romance wrapped in a compelling family saga. You'll love the hard working McGregor family as they fight to make their horse ranch a success. The plotting and pacing of the story is excellent and there is plenty of tension and conflict to go along with the love and romance. The strong family ties reminded me of The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. This is an uplifting book, and I'm already looking forward to the next one. Highly recommended.

Sweet, Heartwarming Love Story April 20, 2015
Jason’s Duty is a sweet, heartwarming love story that will leave you in a whirlwind of emotions.

Jason is the oldest son in The McGregor family and he’s responsible for running their ranch, when his father gets sick Jason has to step up duties. His world is thrown for a loop when Haley Sheridan and her mother arrive at the ranch. Haley is a city girl who’s dealing with the recent death of her father, her and Jason’s relationship gets off to a rocky start with them getting into arguments and Jason nicknaming her Ice Queen. As Haley’s trip progresses, she helps out at the ranch with the horses and gets a glimpse into Jason’s world. Before long she’s letting her guard down and finds herself confiding in Jason.

I loved how Jason and Haley’s relationship naturally progressed throughout the story. It was cute the way they brought out the best in each other, Jason taught Haley how to let her guard down and she in turn helped him loosen up by having fun dancing and going shopping. I also liked how Jason was conflicted about his feelings for Haley, even though he knew she had a boyfriend that didn’t stop Jason’s love and he wasn’t afraid of telling her that Andrew wasn’t the right man for her.

Even though Jason and Haley are the main focus of the book, the story also touches on the other members of the McGregor family. I loved how close-knit the family was. Jonas and Anna proved they’re the perfect parents by raising their boys to be polite and teaching them valuable life lessons. I also loved the bond Jason had with his brothers Jesse and Jude; my favorite moments in the book are when the boys are teasing each other. Jesse and Jude also had their own side stories about whether they were going to stay and help with the ranch.

The story had me laughing, crying, and wondering what’s next for Jason, Haley, and The McGregors in the next installment.

Enjoyable start to this family saga! April 20, 2015
Alisha Guenzel's first installment in The McGregor Saga is a delightfully sweet love story.

Though the story is centered around Haley and Jason's relationship, it's also a family love story - with all that entails. The reader is able to experience the couple's growth, both, individually and as a twosome. Haley learns that being part of a family whose lives are devoted to each other, brings its own challenges and rewards.

Alisha Guenzel has a wonderful and very heartfelt book with Jason Duty.

This is emotional book with feeling of love, lost and confusion all in one story.

Haley has just lost her father in a car accident. Her mother wants to return to Montana where there best friends are from. When Haley arrives she is distract and very rude to Jason. Jason is the oldest son and in charge of the ranch and horses. When he meets Haley, he has a instance dislike for her and her attitude towards him. When Jonas falls ill and tells Jason that Haley should help him out around the ranch. Haley see the beauty of the ranch and working with Jason. Jason has open up Haley heart and eyes to what is truly around her. When Haley boyfriend show up from California demanding that she return with him, she is having mix feeling.

Will Haley truly see who hold her heart and true love for her? Can't wait to see what happens with the rest of the family, especially Jason brothers.

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE BOOK

This is a must read. Looking for a good heartwarming love story, here it is
 Jason's Duty April 24, 2015
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Jason McGregor the elders of the brothers. Love his work on the ranch. Taming horses and just doing his chores. When his fathers best friend Edward passes away, his widow and daughter are coming to visit for awhile. The boys are expected to make them feel welcomed. He wasn't expecting to have to entertain Haley Sheridan. She never had nothing polite to say, had no problem arguing it him over everything. he doesn't have no interest or time for her and her city ways. Yet somehow over time he starts to feel a little differently about her.

Loved the characters. Haley is mourning the death of her father. For some reason Jason brings out the anger in her and she can't help what comes out of her mouth when she is around him. She has no problem with his brothers. Jason is always polite. it is the way he was raised. Until he has had enough. As you read you can feel the feeling between the two start to shift. They have a few issues to work through before they can take it any father. But are they willing to take that chance. Wonderful start of a new series.

Great start to a new series April 24, 2015
Jason’s Duty was a great heartwarming story. Jason is the oldest brother of the McGregor family working hard to someday take over his father’s horse ranch. When some of his parent’s old friends come out to visit after a tragic accident. Jason feels like his world is somehow slowly changing. Haley Sheridan comes with her mother out to the McGregor’s ranch to try to heal from her father’s death. Jason immediately gives her the nickname the “ice princess”, but when she lets her guard down Jason sees what she’s really like he can’t seem to get her off his mind. When Jonas, Jason’s father gets sick and they are all forced to do more of the work around the ranch, and Jason and Haley are forced to work together will their feelings grow? Can a country boy and a city girl make things work?

This story was very heartwarming and I would recommend it to anyone! I got this book because I am married to a guy named Jason and I said there is no way you can make a romance novel with the lead being named Jason, because every Jason I have ever meet is bull headed. This Jason was no different but overall he was sweet, caring, and charming! I have recommended my husband read this book!

Reviews from Unspoken Dreams: Debute book no longer available
Jaime led his Momma and Daddy to their Unspoken Dreams! June 8, 2014
Both Samantha and Jonathan young adults, still in the process of growing up, one with “dreams of becoming a journalist” and the other with the “excitement from running his own business”. Very commendable points, but the direction they took, led to heartbreak and unhappiness.
I found myself growing with the main three characters and separately discovering their own inner strengths. The turning point was when Samantha and Jaime went home to Texas, to visit family. Jaime discovering real love and happiness for the very first time, starting to “feel normal” in Texas and could not understand why he had to leave, but in time this young child unknowingly found his calling. While Samantha saw her “family’ as living and working in NYC, and were Jonathan only saw his business, not seeing clearly a future as a family with their son.

What made me love reading this book was seeing Jaime’s shining example of inspiration, a “lighthouse beacon” illuminating his parents path to happiness, showing the way to becoming a family, a young growing boy, ”Somewhere between nine and now…” led his Momma and Daddy to their Unspoken Dreams.

Wonderful Book and a Genuine Look Into The World of Living With Autism May 10, 2014
This book was a face paced read with a bit of romance and the love of family. It also gave an informative look into living with autism and not looking at it as a disability. I enjoyed the family values and the reality of "if love is real it will withstand time and separation". All the characters came alive and really brought you into the story. It is a fun read that is hard to put down and you're sorry to see it end. I look forward to reading more from Alisha Guenzel.

A look into autism never before seen! May 2, 2014
This was a wonderful romance with a twist: the MC's son is autistic. I have never read a novel before that had a person with autism, much less let the reader experience what it's like to live daily with autism. Alisha definitely nailed this one!

 Absolutely Beautiful March 30, 2014
I wish I could make everyone read this wonderful book. As a mother of a son on the Autism Spectrum, I find this a heartwarming, truthful and beautiful work. It truly shows the many levels and depth of love a mother of a child with communication barriers feels. Frustration is met with tenderness, confusion is met with patience and it all equals love in its purest form. Read this book! :)

What a truly lovely story. You experience so many feelings while reading this story. From the beginning it is sad yet as the story unfolds you find yourself rooting for the family to reunite. It takes eight long years, many tears, laughter, and love for this story to unfold. The characters develop in a truly lovely story.
